Healing Histories: An Exhibition of Medical Marvels and Curative Curiosities
Manchester Central Library (Performance space)
Monday 12th December, 10am-3pm

Healing Histories is a pop-up exhibition of objects from the University of Manchester Museum of Medicine and Health, curated by MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies students this December. It explores the curious and inspiring past of health and medicine, celebrates discoveries, explores the unappreciated and highlights important objects that tell our collective stories. Interactive elements make the past come alive, as the exhibition takes visitors through six themes, from Triumphs of Medicine to The Doctor’s Bag.

The exhibition is a collaboration between the Institute for Cultural Practices and the Museum of Medicine and Health, Manchester Central Library,  Archives+ and the Centre for Engagement and Involvement (CEI) of the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health. It is funded by the Faculty of Humanities.
